CoC: The Republican Nomination
NOTE: This is the first post in a weekly series. I invite other bloggers and writers to discuss controversial topics with me. Check back every Thursday for the latest article. This article was supposed to run yesterday but the writer who was taking Ron Paul's viewpoint didn't turn his assignment in. Apologies. I've replaced that viewpoint with a fifth writer who intriguingly also picked Jon Huntsman. Many thanks to Josh who joined on short notice. Enjoy!
This is the first post in what I hope will become a long series that will be informative and attract many, many readers. This week's topic: The Republican Nomination
Why this topic?
With no clear-cut strong candidates and strong backlash against every candidate, this is the craziest Republican race in two decades. Since Ronald Reagan, the party has always been decently stable, anchored by the Bush family, and other holdovers from the Reagan era. But today, no candidate has been able to capture more than a quarter of the Republican vote at any one time.

I'm going to be lazy with this book report and re-post an essay I wrote for my AP Literature class which my teacher loved...

Tuesday Post: Guess what I'm doing with my Holiday Break...
The renal cortex and renal pyramids of the renal medulla constitute the parenchyma (functional portion) of the kidney. Within the parenchyma are the functional units of the kidney - about 1 million microscopic structures called nephrons. Urine formed by the nephrons drains into large papillary ducts, which extend through the renal papillae of the pyramids. The papillary ducts drain into cuplike structures called minor and major calyces. Each kidney has 8 to 18 minor calyces and 2 or 3 major calyces. A minor calyx receives urine from the papillary ducts of one renal papilla and delivers it to a major calyx. From the major calyces, urine drains into a single large cavity called the renal pelvis and then out through the ureter to the urinary bladder.

Hello World!
Have you ever stared at the ceiling while in bed and suddenly had an epiphany? An insight into something? An intriguing theory? And then the next [fill in the blank - day/week/minute], you forget about it? Because you never wrote it down? This is my attempt to jot down the thoughts that I want to share but don't. An alternative title for this blog could be...
